Introduction of langstroth beehive bee frame with plastic sheet :
1)A grid which is placed over the top of the brood chamber between it and the super in order to prevent
the queen laying eggs in the honey stores.
2)The worker bees are able to squeeze through the gaps in the excluder but the queen and drones are too
large to pass through.
3) Queen excluders are only put on the hive if a super is present and therefore should not be used in winter
if a super isn't left on the hive.
4)They are usually made of either wire with a wooden frame or zinc with slots.
